About MyOdyssey
Not Just A Platform.
A Purpose In Motion.
MyOdyssey was built on one belief — that the systems shaping our lives can be questioned, challenged, and changed. It is a space where gender neutrality, equal education, and merit-based opportunity are not ideals. They are non-negotiables.
This is not just content. It is an awakening in motion.
The Founder
Ambreen Khan —
Born Questioning,
Built For Change.
Ambreen Khan was born into a patriarchal family — one where her mother was the backbone, financially, emotionally, and physically, yet still sought the approval of the men around her. Growing up, Ambreen watched this quietly and kept asking herself one question: why?
The silver lining was education. In a household where literacy was valued, Ambreen was allowed to study — and she made that opportunity count. Education gave her financial independence. Financial independence gave her a voice. And that voice refused to stay silent.
Studies, success, and financial independence gave me the strength to question what everyone else had simply accepted.
She fought her way up — not without resistance, not without encountering the very biases she questioned — but steadily, deliberately, and with a clarity of purpose that only grows stronger with time.
Today, Ambreen channels that journey into MyOdyssey — a platform built not just to share ideas, but to shift the systems that made those ideas necessary in the first place.
She wants more young girls and women to understand that financial independence is not just a goal — it is the first step to earning respect, voice, and a seat at every table that matters.
Our Direction
The Mission And
Vision That Drive Us.
Questioning The Stereotypes That Hold Women Back.
To question and break the stereotypes that surround women and render them secondary — in homes, classrooms, workplaces, and within the systems that govern their lives. To make the sub-standard treatment of women impossible to ignore, and harder to sustain.
The first act of change is refusing to call injustice normal.
A World That Sees Women As Human First.
To bring about meaningful change in the lives of daughters, women, and mothers — and to experience a society that treats women simply as human beings, not as a category defined by their gender. A world where merit, not conformity, determines what each person becomes.
Not a woman. Not a category. Simply human — and fully equal.
The Initiative
Aaghaaz — Where
Change Begins.
Aaghaaz — meaning "a beginning" — is Ambreen Khan's NGO, born from the same conviction that drives MyOdyssey. It is the on-ground arm of her mission: moving from words to action, from ideas to impact.
Through Aaghaaz, Ambreen works directly with communities, schools, and individuals to create awareness around gender equity, access to education, and the importance of financial independence for women and girls.
A beginning is all it takes. One conversation, one mind changed — and the ripple never stops.

The Beliefs Behind
Every Word We Write.
MyOdyssey is not just a platform — it is a set of convictions. These are the values that shape every piece of content, every conversation, and every step forward.
01
Courage Over
Comfort.
Saying what needs to be said — even when it makes people uncomfortable — is not aggression. It is responsibility. MyOdyssey was built on the belief that honest articulation is the most powerful tool for change.
The world needs more courageous articulation, not more silence.
02
Merit Over
Identity.
Every person deserves to be judged by what they bring, not by the gender, background, or label they were handed at birth. This belief sits at the centre of everything MyOdyssey stands for.
Potential is universal. Access to it must be too.
03
Impact Over
Noise.
This is not content for likes or visibility. Every word published here is written to make someone pause, reflect, and — eventually — act. Depth over volume, always.
One idea that shifts a perspective is worth more than a thousand that entertain.
Take The Next Step
Ready To Question,
Reflect, And Act?
Whether you want to read the essays, collaborate on a workshop, or simply start a conversation — MyOdyssey is here. The journey begins with one question.
God made each one with a purpose. Every individual deserves the opportunity to fulfil it.
